Diagnostics

Could an illness or injury be plaguing your pet?

When people get sick or injured, they visit the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, things aren’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.

What’s more, many animals are capable of hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.

Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and treat health concerns in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can vastly improve the chances of a positive prognosis.

Laboratory

The on-site diagnostic laboratory at Westside Animal Hospital makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in just minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.

Imaging

When a physical exam and lab work aren’t enough to reach an accurate diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, such as x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

Digital images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet has been acting a little out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Give the caring crew at Westside Animal Hospital a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.

This was my first visit and I am happy with the vet and the attention they gave my cat Lucy..she is afraid of strangers yet she didn't pitch a fit ..she let them handle her with no problems and her not being stressed is highly important...I don't see her eye watering after one dose of drops and after 2 doses of antibiotics she has not sneezed..the meds are 10days but the Dr definitely knows his stuff
