Resolutions Inspired By Dogs

January 3, 2022
Happy New Year! As we toss out (or burn) our 2021 calendars, and move into 2022, many of us are thinking about what we want to achieve in the coming year. Your canine buddy may not have very lofty plans, aside from collecting belly rubs and treats. However, Fido can still help you out with yours … even if only by serving as inspiration. In this article from Westside Animal Hospital, a Savannah, GA vet lists some resolutions inspired by Man’s Best Friend.

Be Loyal

There are many things to love about Fido, but his loyalty is one of the best. Your furry best friend will stick right by your side this year, no matter what 2022 throws at you. This is actually a wonderful inspiration. Stand by those who have been good to you!

Stay Active

Does your canine friend get super excited when he knows it’s time for a walk? It’s hard to resist that wagging tail and hopeful expression. Those daily strolls are very good for Fido, both mentally and physically. They’re good for you, too!

Have Fun

Dogs are super cute when they are feeling playful. It’s impossible not to smile at Fido when he is jumping for his favorite toy or racing after a ball. Let this be a reminder to carve out time for doing things you enjoy.

Go New Places

Man’s Best Friend certainly loves to explore. (Fido may actually be a bit too fond of exploring, but that’s another topic.) Take your four-legged pal to some new parks or trails this year, and let him sniff new grass. You may be surprised at how many hidden gems there are that you can take a one-tank trip to.

Take Time To Relax

Did you know that dogs spend about half of their time sleeping? You probably don’t need quite that much rest, but it is important to make sure that you’re getting enough sleep.

Spend Time With Loved Ones

If there was just one thing we could learn from our canine companions, it would be to spend as much time as possible with the people (and pets) we love. This is a great priority to carry forward into 2022. Please contact us with any questions about your pet’s health or care. As your local Savannah, GA animal clinic, we are dedicated to offering top-notch service in 2022 and beyond!
