Cute Ways to Spoil Your Cat

March 15, 2016
Do you have a kitty? If so, we’re guessing that it probably didn’t take Fluffy very long to melt your heart. Kitties have a way of doing that. Those adorable furry faces, charismatic personalities, and cute meows are definitely hard to resist! It’s no wonder that so many people like to spoil their cats. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make your cat happy, however. In this article from Westside Animal Hospital, your Savannah, GA animal hospital, you’ll learn about some adorable ways to pamper cats.

Furniture

Your feline pal probably won’t hesitate to make herself comfortable on your couch or bed, but she’d also enjoy some things of her own. You can buy Fluffy’s furniture, or save money by going the DIY route. Look online for some great ideas!

Play Sessions

Take time to play with your kitty every day. Chasing that little mouse or that elusive red dot will keep Fluffy active, which is great for her physically. It will also offer her mental stimulation, which is also very beneficial, and will help keep her mind sharp as she ages. Try to carve out at least 5-10 minutes a day to play with Fluffy. This will be fun for you, too!

Beds

Napping is definitely one of Fluffy’s favorite things to do. Offer your kitty lots of comfy spots to snuggle up in. As far as cats are concerned, there’s just no such thing as too many beds! For extra purrs, give your drowsy pet at least one cozy bed in front of a window with a good view.

Entertainment

Make sure Fluffy has lots of fun toys to play with. Classic kitty toys, like little balls and catnip mice, are fine. You can also go high-tech, and get your frisky furball a robotic mouse or an automated laser pointer, or even download apps for her to play with on your phone or tablet.

Cuddles

Of course the best way to make your feline friend feel loved and happy is to pay her lots of attention. Pet your cat, play with her, talk to her, and oblige her requests for snuggles. It’s hard not to smile when Fluffy starts purring in your arms! Do you have any questions or concerns about your cat’s health?
