If you want to go one step further, you can add another layer of material to increase the thickness between the top and bottom.

Another possibility is to upcycle a sweater. The first step is to stitch the torso together to form an O shape. Leave the neck open, then sew the waist shut. Next, close the wrist openings and connect the arms to the torso at the bottom. Fill the bed using the neck opening, then seal it tight.

Rope Toys

For this project, cut an old T-shirt or towel into thin pieces. Use different-colored ones to make it look good. Dogs will not be bothered by the appearance of their toy or by whether it is color-coordinated, so this is, of course, optional.

Once the strips have been sorted, begin braiding them. Next, join the braids together. When you’ve reached the proper thickness, tie a big knot. You can experiment with different shapes, such as circles, or add features like sweet potato jerky pieces or tennis balls. Just be sure to keep things safe. Ask your vet for specific advice.

In addition, they are inexpensive. Catnip is reasonably priced when purchased in bulk, and it becomes even more affordable if you cultivate it yourself.

Start by cutting two identically shaped pieces of fabric. Place them one on top of the other, ensuring that the outside edges face each other. You will then sew the edges shut. Leave a small hole. After you’ve completed it, turn it right-side out and fill it with catnip via the opening you left. Seal the gap once it is adequately filled. Offer Fluffy one of your masterpieces, then make more for the shelter kitties.  

If you want to make a few of them, consider using a cookie cutter to define the forms. You may also use cardboard to construct an outline.

Cardboard Boxes

Box castles never fail to please our feline pals. Feel free to make these in any style you like, whether simple or complex! You can just cut a door in a box, or use several and add things like towers and turrets. If you make more than one story, you may need to add more cardboard to make it strong enough.

Cat Towers

Cat towers are excellent for kitties because they serve numerous functions. They provide our feline companions with comfortable napping locations as well as a place for them to sharpen their claws. Kittens also get their exercise by climbing up and down. Furthermore, cats generally feel safer when they are up high. That is critical for shelter animals, since anything that might make a sad, scared cat feel safer is certainly worthwhile.
